YUMA - Multiple sclerosis affects 400,000 people nationally. Today people in the desert southwest living with, or affected, by MS had a chance to learn more about resources, programs and services available in Yuma county.
Yuma Regional Medical Center jointly hosted a resource fair and town hall meeting today from ten o'clock until noon. Participants were encouraged to explore local vendors, listen to guest physician speakers and build a network of support.
Multiple sclerosis is a chronic disease with a wide variety of unpredictable symptoms. No cure exists, but great progress has been made in slowing the disease's progression and treating its symptoms.
